Assyrian Biblical Studies welcomes you to our community

Through many years of inapt Scripture interpretations, cultural influences, and westernization of churches the message of Jesus has been severely misrepresented, diluted, and in some cases even twisted. The product of such corruption has been the rejection of Jesus’ message by many Assyrian people especially the younger generation.

At Assyrian Biblical Studies we believe that devout Assyrian believers have the God given gift of better understanding the message of Jesus as the message of Jesus was first spoken in the streets and alley ways of Near East in our own mother language of Aramaic. The logic portrait in the teachings and parables of Jesus and His disciples requires higher understanding of Eastern language nuances.

Therefore, it is our mission to reveal Jesus as He is intended to be revealed by the Scriptures, in our own Syriac (Neo-Aramaic) language and logic. We will be using biblical texts from different languages such as English, Farsi and Syriac. So, feel free to bring your own Bible to the sessions. However, you will often see that we will glance at the roots of the major biblical words and try to extract the deep meaning of the word as intended by the original authors 2000 years ago.

Assyrian Christians

Assyrian Christians are an ethnic and religious minority group primarily located in the Middle East. Yet there are also Assyrian Christian communities found in various parts of the world, including in the United States of America. Assyrian Christians are descendants of the ancient Assyrian Empire and practice their own unique form of Christianity. Throughout history, Assyrian Christians have faced persecution and displacement, particularly in Iraq and Syria. Despite these challenges, they have maintained their cultural and religious identity and continue to make significant contributions to their communities and the world.
